Truss is a desktop application for mentors to connect with mentees professionally and personally. We aim to facilitate mentoring process for mentors. It is difficult for mentors to stay updated with their mentees in between meetings and know their mentees both personally and professionally to build a better mentorship relationship. The product can be a web or mobile application. The main functions of the product are visual presentation of mentees task completion, insight into the mentee’s emotional state, timeline that records the activities and achievements of both mentors and mentees, built-in messaging system for mentors and mentees to connect, scheduling tool that help mentors to arrange meetings. Both mentors and mentees will use the product together since mentees need to upload their status and progress of the task to keep mentors informed. With the data from mentees, mentors will be provided a better way to connect and be present in their mentees’ lives and careers.
