USER JOURNEY MAP

The user journey map represents a mentor’s mood as they go through their lives as a mentor. We originally set out to complete a day in the life of a mentor, but we eventually felt like a mentoring relationship does not really have particular pain points in the day by day, but rather over a long period time. So instead, we mapped a mentor’s stress and confidence level of the relationship over the time span of 3 meetings.

The was helpful in the design process, as it depicted a timeframe and its events that we were designing for. After creating this, we were able to think about how a new product could fit in the timeframe to alleviate the stress of the mentoring relationship while boosting a mentor’s confidence.
